As you all know, I am obsessed with Dove's Campaign for Real Beauty. I've written about it several times on this blog. I know Dove is obviously trying to sell products, but they're a company - either way they're going to be trying to sell products. They could just as easily subscribe to the classic beauty industry advertising that makes girls feel horrible about themselves, but instead they are sending out positive messages to girls. And plus they are contributing a percentage of products sold to the Self-Esteem fund, which provides self-esteem workshops for girls. I could not feel more strongly about the mission of Dove.
